The Original Hooters Halloween Spooktacular Car Show Returns October 24
One of Albuquerque’s longtime automotive Halloween traditions is back.
The Original Hooters Halloween Spooktacular Car Show returns to Hooters “East Side” on San Mateo on Saturday, October 24, 2026, bringing together cars, costumes, candy and family fun for a tradition that has been part of Albuquerque’s car community for more than 25 years.
Presented by the New Mexico Motorsports Report, the Spooktacular is free for spectators and offers much more than a parking lot full of great cars. Throughout the day, attendees can enjoy adult, youth and pet costume contests, Creeper Races, a Trunk or Treat, a live DJ, local vendors, giveaways, raffle prizes and the show’s signature one-of-a-kind awards.
Whether you come to put a car on display or bring the family out to enjoy the festivities, there will be plenty happening throughout the day.
The event also serves as a fundraiser for the New Mexico Motorsports Report, with proceeds benefiting Hooters’ “Give A Hoot” campaign to help support the fight against breast cancer.
A New Mexico Car Show Tradition
For more than 25 years, the Hooters Halloween Car Show has brought Albuquerque’s automotive community together around Halloween. In 2026, the New Mexico Motorsports Report is proud to continue that tradition at the show’s longtime San Mateo location.
This is THE ORIGINAL. This is the Hooters Halloween Spooktacular.
Vendor setup begins at 7:00 a.m., followed by participant setup at 7:30 a.m. The show officially gets underway at 9:00 a.m.
